The Minister of Education visits the Oxford Center for Islamic Studies (OCIS) in the United Kingdom and discusses joint cooperation in the fields of scientific research
Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi visited the Oxford Center for Islamic Studies (OCIS), which includes representatives of the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom. The founding director of the Oxford Center and a member of the Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Oxford, Dr. Farhan Ahmed Nizami, welcomed the visit of the Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, and his accompanying delegation, which includes the Undersecretary for Scientific Research Affairs, Dr. Haider Abd Dhahd, the President of the University of Baghdad, Dr. Munir Al-Saadi, and the President of the University of Anbar, Dr. Mushtaq Talib Al-Nada and Chairman of the Committee of Deans of Medical Colleges in Iraq, Dr. Anis Khalil Nayel And the cultural advisor, Dr. Muhammad Hamza Abdul Sada Al-Hashemi. The Minister of Education was briefed on the work of the center, which is concerned with disciplines with a cultural perspective of contemporary Islamic civilization and societies, and the workspace in which interested students and academics coming to Oxford are active to join scholarship programs, fellowships, seminars, workshops, conferences, exhibitions and academic events. The Iraqi delegation, headed by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, discussed tracks of cooperation in the fields of scientific research, grants and fellowships that open the way for the exchange of experiences and the promotion of specialized scientific research directions that study Islamic culture, its societies and civilized environments.
