The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, received Dr. Kamal Kharrazi, Chairman of the Strategic Council for Foreign Relations in the Islamic Republic of Iran, and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, the Minister of Education confirmed that Iraq and its academic institutions are looking forward to solid scientific and cultural cooperation by strengthening the strategic areas between the two countries, indicating at the same time that Iraqi universities are competing with their counterparts in the region at the level of scientific research and international classifications, which makes them eligible for joint international agreements on scientific research. At the same time, he called for more dialogues and programs between research centers to develop cooperation in this field.
For his part, the head of the Strategic Council for Foreign Relations, Dr. Kamal Kharazi, affirmed that Iraq possesses scientific, cultural and civilizational elements, energies, talents and capabilities that pave the way for more important indicators in the scientific and research fields.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the paths of the proposed programs between university and research institutions, as well as defining the parameters of the agreement to form a joint team to follow up and implement the programs in light of the outputs of scientific coordination between the two sides.
